The Angling Trust is the National Governing Body for Angling in England. The AT are committed to ensuring that children are able to participate in Angling in a safe and enjoyable environment.
The Angling Trust believes that children should always feel safe when participating in angling. To do this we believe it is important that all coaches, volunteers, parents, children and anyone else working with children in angling are working to best practice. It is also important to ensure that children and their parents are informed of expectations and understand exactly what to expect from participating in angling.
All of the work we undertake as the National Governing Body for Angling is directed by the Child Protection in Sport Unit (CPSU) and the NSPCC.
The AT has a Lead Child Protection Officer and also Regional Welfare Officers who can be contacted for more information or if you have a concern.
